Brother has recently announced that they will be donating $50,000 (about £40,000) to areas affected by the Turkey-Syria Earthquake, which has unfortunately touched millions of people in the two countries.
Non-Governmental Organisations will receive the donations from local Brother branches to support south eastern Turkey and northern Syria. The donation will be received by Doctors Without Borders / Médecins Sans Frontières.
Brother has also released a statement with expressions of their “deepest sympathies to everyone affected by the damage” and “hopes for an early recovery”.
Many other companies have donated their share of money to the Turkish and Syrian people. Some places have reported an “overwhelming amount of donations” for the victims of the 7.8 magnitude earthquake. Furthermore, People from all around the world are coming together to help Turkey and Syria, with huge sums of money flowing from all around the world into humanitarian aid organisations and charities. In addition to all of that, Food, warm clothes and other supplies are being transported too.
Other printing companies like FUJIFILM Holdings and its group companies also donated large sums of money. Medical apparatus has been donated (including FUJIFILM’s portable X-Ray systems) and many international humanitarian aid organisations have received it.
