The European Green Deal is a comprehensive and ambitious plan to make the European Union a climate-neutral and ecologically sustainable continent by 2050. It was launched by the European Commission in December 2019. The main objectives of the Green Deal are to stop climate change, advance biodiversity, and encourage a circular economy while making sure that all people have a just transition.
