Yesterday’s Qatar 2022 World Cup Final determined which nation has the best football team in the world – Argentina or France? All eyes were on football’s two legends – Lionel Messi and Kylian Mbappé. Messi scored the first goal (a penalty), giving Argentina the upper hand. Angel Di Maria added to Argentina’s score with another goal a few minutes later, bringing the score to 2:0 in the 36th minute.
Everything was looking great for the Argentinians – until the 80th minute, no goals were scored. However, Kylian Mbappé scored two goals – one in the 80th minute and another just one minute later! The first goal was a penalty and the second goal equalised the scoreboard.
Messi scored his second goal of the match in the 108th minute, with Mbappé saving France in the 118th minute with another penalty. Not only did Mbappé save France, but he also scored a hat-trick in the final – the second player in history to do so!
Extra Time and Penalties
The extra time ends with a score of 3:3. Argentina wins against France in penalties with a final score of 3:3 (4:2 in penalties)!
The World Cup belongs to Argentina for the next 4 years!
