Konica Minolta celebrates its 150th anniversary this year, with hopes to soar as a growth company again.
The Japanese Company’s roots go back to the year 1873 when 25-year-old Rokusaburo Sugiura started selling photography materials after having his photo taken.
Konica Minolta’s New CEO Toshimitsu Taiko announced that the company’s 150th anniversary is a new start and opportunity to reinforce the company and strengthen it back up after the many challenges it experienced last year due to supply chain issues with lockdown in China and the impact the war in Ukraine continues to have on resources and energy prices.
Taiko’s mission is to accelerate Konica Minolta forward and restore the confidence of its employees as well as restoring trust of stakeholders, shareholders, investors and customers. The CEO’s tactic to achieve these goals is by addressing every single problem with honesty and sincerity.
Mr Taiko also expressed his heartfelt appreciation to everyone who supports Konica Minolta around the world. It’s been made clear that the company positions the huge milestone as a chance for further growth of people and society.
Konica Minolta’s mission to help the Homeless
Konica Minolta has also worked with charities to combat homelessness and help those in need. For example, for the second consecutive year, Konica Minolta works with Crisis at Christmas to help homeless. They also collaborated with the Aimar Foundation. They have managed to install print management software and printing devices at hotels and day centre sites across London. This helped provide access to vital information and documentation, to help them take the first step out of homelessness.
